Yes, it is true.
I'm an awful blogger. When was the last time I posted on here?
I don't know. I can't remember, it was that long ago.
But I am back :-)
Oh, and I am a mediocre Earth lover. Because I would love to do more, but laziness and society often holds me and my family back.
We have a tiny garden, we love it, we plant goodies in it.
We recycle, we try to buy Earth friendly products (despite their usual higher cost).
We try to support the local community, we are mostly locavores.
But I'd love to do more. I'd love to live with less electricity, to ride a bike with the family, rather than taking the car.
I know it's easy to blame someone else, but, as I was trying to buy myself an adult tricycle *insert laugh here cause I can't ride a bike* I realized I wouldn't be able to ride it in this city.
I fight everyday in this urban jungle trying not to get into a car accident or preventing drivers from placing their tires over my poor body as I'm crossing the road, so that makes it IMPOSSIBLE (or close enough) to safely ride a bike. We don't have a bike lane anywhere and there is no respect for people on 2 non motorized wheels.
I used to have a tricycle...I used to ride it when I was pregnant with my boy. It was like this one, but in raspberry color:
We were best friends, we went everywhere together, we carried groceries, we were happy. But then it died and it became part of a forgotten garden on the island we used to live.
I miss it everyday.
But I have plans. I want one again. I want to ride it.
By the way: Happy Earth Day!!
